66 year old empty nester feels its time to be honest with myself

I am 66, still working, living alone in my Victorian cottage with my elderly dog and still have an excellent relationship with my 3 adult children.

I have wanted to date again for some time after being single for some years, but I want to explore being with another woman.

I have always preferred women's company and feel its time I found a companion again but am scared to approach gay women as I have been in heterosexual relationships all my life, and don't want to be viewed as a confused time waster!

Can anyone advise me?

Good for you .....maybe look for some groups online to get ideas or social events. I would treat it the same way as any dating/socialising and take it from there.

My friend’s Mum is married to a lovely women after having had two husbands. I don’t think it’s that unusual.

Well, I tried dating sites but the Match website was offline, and the POF website was also glitching.
This is why a dislike dating websites.
Have used them before.
Thanks anyway for suggestions! x

What kind of companion are you looking for?

You do sound a bit confused to be honest.

I'm not sure POF is the place to go. Maybe try meet up groups ? Or FB groups till you find your feet rather than jumping straight into dating.
