Partners’s alarm

Do you wake your partner up if they turn their alarm off instead of snooze? My partner says I should wake him up if he presses off instead of snooze. I think he should be responsible for getting himself up, he says I should help him as his job is important !

No. Remind him you are not his Mum!

Questions223 · 30/05/2025 19:28

Definitely not your responsibility! He's not your child.

snoozing is a pet hate of mine. My oh leaves at 3am for work sometimes and snoozes repeatedly for up to 1.5 hours. I think it's so mean as I keep getting woken up so he can doze!

set the alarm and get up with it!

stayathomer · 30/05/2025 19:29

I actually do but it’s a habit I should never have started.

Meadowfinch · 30/05/2025 19:31

Is he a grown up or a child? Even my 16yo gets himself out of bed now.

Mauvehoodie · 30/05/2025 19:32

Ick no I wouldn't get him up like a child! I'd tell him you're so happy to but it'll feel like he's your son and you'll never be able to have sex with him again. His choice 🤣.

I can't be bothered with other people's alarms at all. I sleep on my own, and have a reliable system with the multi-alarm on my clock radio.

crazycatladie · 30/05/2025 19:44

Thank you for the replies. I’ve told him it’s not my responsibility, but I was doubting myself, you’ve confirmed what I was thinking. Thanks

If you get up before him I suggest getting him a new alarm clock. Can I recommend this one.
