I’ve been with my girlfriend 6 months. We’re in love and we are happy.

in her recent internet history was “how do I decline a second date”

why would she be asking this?

I saw it as I searched google and it was in the recent searches.

I wouldn't read too much into it. When I search on google it comes up with all sorts of weird suggestions that I'd never actually search, and it's quite easy to accidentally click on one of them. Try it yourself - type 'how' into google, it comes up with a big list.

Is there a reason you can't just ask her?

Springadorable · 28/05/2025 15:22

I'll often start typing something and then Google will suggest something and I go down a rabbit hole of seeing what that answer is instead.

At least it wasn't how do I ask for a second date 😂

Im afraid she’ll think I don’t trust her.

it was actually ChatGPT not google.

She was prob with a friend and searching for her? If my husband looked at my search history im sure he’d have concerns too but it’s normally a random search due to something I’ve read in a book or on social media!

CapitalAtRisk · 28/05/2025 15:35

If my husband snooped on me like you did on her he would have found me searching how to annul a marriage 😆

It was because of a thread on here.

You clearly don't.

S0j0urn4r · 28/05/2025 15:40

Why are you looking at her internet history?

Well make your mind up. You said:

And then:

I think I know who the untrustworthy one is here...

lightslittle · 28/05/2025 17:06

Do you live together? How often do you see each other? You say you’re in love and happy but how serious is the relationship?

did you come across this on a shared laptop? Phone etc? If you were just using chat GPT on their device and came across this, that’s not snooping…so why wouldn’t you just ask her outright there and then?

namechangeGOT · 28/05/2025 18:04

Christ, if anyone searched my history I’d be shot to shit! I only have to to read something on here or hear something and I’m straight on googling! The last thing I googled was ‘best medieval torture merhods’.

Pollqueen · 28/05/2025 18:18

I recently googled local dogging sites after reading something on here. Never dogged (if that's the correct phraseolgy) in my life, nor intend to

Plus, if you've been together 6 months you're obviously well past 2nd date stage

I assume that he is worried that she is asking AI ?! how to say no to a date with another man, not him.

I think most people change insignificant details on here just in case the person they're talking about is also on here and recognises themselves.

But lots of people offering reassuring examples of accidental random Google searches isn't going to help if the OP knows that it was an intentional chatgpt question.

I don't think there's anything particularly suspicious about a clarification of a fairly minor detail tbh.

Nothing good ever comes from checking another persons phone, texts, google searches etc.
