Is cheating becoming the norm?

We had a girls night out on Friday and I was shocked at the behaviour of some of my friends. We are all mid 30s and married so it was a rare opportunity for us to let our hair down and have some fun together just us without our partners. So ofcourse we drank and danced and made the most of it. But some friends used their partners not being there as an opportunity to do what I consider cheating. They were happy to dance with other guys. I mean ‘dance’ getting very handsy and grinding and grabbing all sorts of places. Two friends went out to the smoking area with two guys and asked us not to come with them. They came back about 30 mins later so god knows what they got up to out there. There’s plenty more that happened and they did but I’m not going to give every detail. We had a good night but overall I was just shocked at how open some friends were with what they were doing. So is cheating really becoming the norm or are some of my friends just shitty people?

I think it’s always been the case that some women behave like this. I remember being invited out on a night out with the school mums about 25 years ago, who were in the main a good 15 years older than me. I was aghast at the antics of these older, middle-class women (who I felt had spent years looking down their noses at little teen-mum me!).

Second that! I guess they like the attention. Let's hope there was someone there that knows their partners and can let them know what cheating bastards their wives are! Oh hang on OP you were there....

Not my experience at all.

Although, I wouldn’t trust most men on stag weekends

Not sure if I’d say it’s the norm, but I’m
pretty sure women cheat just as often as men, women are just better at hiding it.
