My partner has been going to car boot sales to buy stuff to sell on as he is off sick from work with no sick pay. For some reason my mum says because I go to these some of the car boots with him and I sometimes suggest things he could sell on she said he should split the money with me. She said it again today and I said but he is the one listing, packaging and going to the post office.
I don’t understand where she is coming from that he needs to automatically share half the sale with me. I like to look round the car boot and have a walk. I would not dream of asking him for money. He is always generous and will pay for a meal when we are out and we take turns. I work full time with a decent salary and don’t need his money.
I made the mistake of telling her some of the sales he had because it was interesting what people had bought. He is not going to become a millionaire from this so I don’t know why she assumes he is loaded. I think I need to stop talking to her about the car boots and his sales.
