My husband was a prick. Same old row. He thinks I don’t do enough. IS HE FOR REAL. Not looking for ‘leave him’ comments, looking for reassurance others peoples husband are deluded too. And not everyone had a perfect weekend. Honestly, who does he think is better out there. IDIOT.

Why does he think you don’t do enough? Enough what?

TeenLifeMum · 05/05/2025 20:44

What counts as “enough”? I’ve had a very lazy day and dh did more than me (his choice). I was clear I had no intention of doing much. I’m an adult so it’s allowed but dh wouldn’t respond with criticism, he responded by asking if I would like a cup of tea, efficient he brought to me in the garden.

I've never had this argument so why stay with him?

Circumferences · 05/05/2025 20:47

Do you do enough?

Does HE do enough?

Does he do more than you?

More of what, anyway?

Driving???

I have bimbled around the garden centre to buy plants I meant to get planted… they’re still in pots in the garden.

I walked the dogs with dh at the local country park for a hour at a leisurely pace.

Cooked dinner for 4 of us.

Took dd1 to her friend’s (need to pick her up in a bit).

Plan to have a bath and hair wash after collecting dd1.

the rest of the day I was sat on the garden sofas playing a Tetris type game on my phone and reading mn.

Make a list of things you do every day next week and show him on Saturday.

Tell him you thought about what he said about not doing enough and are happy to look at the split of the chores and wife work.

Make sure ALL you need to do is in the list, even shopping for kids pals birthday gift etc He should see that you already do A LOT of stuff. And hopefully realise he needs to do more. Prick.
