Moved in while looking for a flat. Stayed over a year. When I asked for fair contribution as I was on my knees with two kids and extra person providing a loving home for, they found a flat and moved out! But still comes once or twice a week and at weekends.

Stop letting them? Tell them this isn't what you want in life and if they expect to live off you they are delusional.

PaintYourAssLikeRembrandt · 03/05/2025 17:02

It doesn't work, a couple living together when one of them is a millionaire wouldn't be entitled to benefits anyway.

Sounds like they are continuing to take the piss out of you financially, and you're allowing it.

SparklyGlitterballs · 03/05/2025 17:05

So is the partner the multi-millionaire and he moved into your flat for a year and made no financial contribution? If so he's a miser and not worth it. Was he expecting to just stay there indefinitely for free if you hadn't raised the matter of him paying his way? If be ditching this one.

intrepidpanda · 03/05/2025 17:09

I guess the person on benefits lied about him living there.
This seems to be a common benefit fraud.

Cucy · 03/05/2025 17:45

You’re just a shag and they’re using you with no benefit to yourself.

Stop letting them walk all over you.

Find someone who actually likes you.
I don’t know anything about you, but I know you can do better than this.

MayaPinion · 03/05/2025 17:49

I would be very surprised if he was telling the truth about his millions.

Iwontlethtesungodownonme · 03/05/2025 17:52

Benefit fraud?

Iwontlethtesungodownonme · 03/05/2025 17:52

If it is you that is allowing them to visit, why?

yeesh · 03/05/2025 17:53

Sounds like total bullshit

StIgantius · 03/05/2025 17:56

Either they’re not a multimillionaire or you’re not in a relationship, or both.

Mickeychampionwhatgoodami · 03/05/2025 17:56

The benefits scenarios get more ludicrous by the day.
Aye because multi millionaires move in the same circles as benefit claimant's.

Viviennemary · 03/05/2025 17:58

If you are the one on benefits and lived with a mega rich guy I expect it's benefit fraud. Still he will probably pay whatever you were overpaid in benefits and any fines. Hopefully. Maybe even visit you in prison

They do if they're drug dealers

Bananalanacake · 03/05/2025 18:10

Not very clear from your title who the multi millionaire is, surely a multi millionaire wouldn't need to move in with someone else while looking for somewhere to live, they can buy a property outright. And if a partner moves in with someone claiming benefits, the claimant has to declare this.

I call BS

Try harder

vodkaredbullgirl · 03/05/2025 18:47

🤔

SparklyBrickViper · 03/05/2025 18:53

Well you’ve worked out how they become millionaires……

However I call BS

Greenartywitch · 03/05/2025 19:02

Another one for the 'it never happened' pile...

User3452424 · 03/05/2025 19:08

He obviously lied about being a multi millionaire to get into your pants and it worked.

Bananalanacake · 03/05/2025 19:33

You also shouldn't be letting a man move in with you if you have kids. Have a relationship without living together.
