Sleeping in bed with husband after a year

My husband and I have been sleeping in separate beds for over a year since I was heavily pregnant with my son, so we could take turns with night wakes and get more sleep.

Now I want to get back in the same bed as I think it’s important to our marriage, but I’m finding it really uncomfortable! I’ve become used to a big bed on my own and it’s hard to go back!

Has anyone experienced this? Can we get used to sleeping with each other again?!

We did this when I was heavily pregnant to. It’s been 7 years and still sleep separately and I think it’s great 😂

If you can, super king zip and link so that you each have a single bed sized mattress to yourself and because they are separate mattresses you don't feel your Dh turn over anywhere near as much as a shared mattress. Usual questions, can you feel the zip? No, there is the normal piping edge to the mattress and the zip is just below that. We do however have a quilted mattress topper on.

Have you tried using single duvets instead of one big one?

We did this when we had a king size bed and it made such a difference.

Even better if you have room for a superking.

Me too and I’ve got a super king size bed.

I don’t think it takes long to get used to it, and also I like to avoid being woken up by the slightest sound or movement if I can help it.
