Is this too soon?

Hello,

Trying to get some perspective.

My 18 year old niece ended her relationship at the end of last month/ beginning of this month. Her bf was the same age and they had been together for a few years. She started a new relationship with a 25 year old man, (26 in a few months) straight away, so about 2-3 weeks ago. He has already met her parents but I don't know if she has met anyone from his family yet.

Is this all a bit too fast? She has only known this new man for 2 months.

Would you worry if this was someone in your family? She is but isn't that mature for her age but looks older than she is.

Am I just being silly?

Definitely not your business. She’s an adult and free to make her own decisions and voicing concerns will most likely get a ‘back off’ response (quite rightly)

Perhaps she's known him longer, which is why she split up with the ex and immediately jumped the new guy.

Also remember young folk live their lives a lot faster than us torpid parents do. And that it's not your business.

No they have definitely only known each other for 2 months.

Well at least he has met her family.

Don't take on worrying about an adults private business. I'm sure she's fine.

I'm obviously not going to say anything, but I do think it's all very fast and a bit strange. As I said she isn't that mature and he is nearly 26
