Breaking an emotional attachment

We've both been single for years since respective relationship breakups, no children involved, same age.

I do love his company and no we haven't slept together. He makes me laugh like anything and we discuss all sorts of things. He's respectful and has never been pervy (autocorrect keeps putting perry!). It's been a few years.

But there are other reasons why it wouldn't work out, am I fretting about nothing and just need to let it fizzle out?

I need to gracefully let it go don't I?

Why don’t you want to get together wifh this man OP?

@ChersHandbag I was up thinking about this. The problems are that it's a distance within UK and he's wealthy and I'm not. I heard from him tonight and he's asked me about moving again. So my brain is muddled.

I really do think on a logical basis I need to let it go

I’m not sure why you need to let it go. He sounds fine, if you like him!

Him moving to you or you moving to him?

If he's wealthy, he can sustain the impact of a move and it not working out far more easily than you would be able to.

If it's all about you upping sticks to be with him and you taking all the risk, I'd be a bit hmmm.

Of course, if you haven't even got to stage of sleeping together, talking about living together already is way too much too soon.

I'll just take a break for a few days and reset. I'm not moving anywhere at present. It's easy at night to overthink things.

I sorted that out, I said to him "only if we can afford an island".

He probably reared back in horror. Actually I hope he's not rich enough to do that 😬

He needs to stop with the moving questions though. I think I've put my foot down now.
