Would you date someone who was ex Russian military? Employment was pre Ukraine war as I know that this might get asked.
I’m a bit conflicted but I think I’m likely a bit unfair here.

Depends. Questions I would ask would be around whether he is associated with any sanctioned organizations? Why is he in the UK? Does he have proper permission to reside here and work? Can he get non-military related jobs?

Yeah he has been here for 10 years and he does work. Nationality is less of an issue for me, but I have never dated anyone with an army background and I am doubly conflicted because of this reputation, but I know that I am probably super prejudiced here.
