My partner is doing a clean break order with his ex. They have no house and children all over 18 and have left home. They have no assets except a few pensions which are worth a maximum of 20k so this all appears to be very straight forward.
Solicitor has quoted him approx £2000 as she says it will take her around 8 hours to check everything, even if he does the form filling himself.
AIBU to think this is a ridiculously long time and a high quote? Or is this about right?
