He is preaching

An acquaintance has been sending pointless memes and articles. He sent one video about politics that was negative. I felt offended as we both clearly have different political views and don’t appreciate the preaching. I never shared politics or impose my views on others so why do people think they can cross boundaries?

They are passionate or do not understand social norms. Either way, just reply, thanks for the email about XYZ. I view things from a different perspective so please don’t send any more info in future. Much appreciated.

No point working yourself up wondering why he though you’d want to hear his point of view, just politely set him straight.

Has he actually crossed a boundary though?
Have you shared that you don't appreciate the messages?
Have you told them to stop?

A boundary doesn't exist in your mind for others to read.
