Cheating and ROCD

I think I cheated on my boyfriend. I saw a tattoo artist 2 years ago. I'm convinced I got aroused by the tattoo artist behind my boyfriends back and now I don't know what to do

Gently, please don't "confess" this to your boyfriend. You know the ROCD is the actual problem. Don't let that convince you of something that isn't real, or was nothing more than a thought. You'd be confessing to something you didn't actually do, and when you're finally able to see that, he'll be left with lingering doubts and confusion. It's hard enough to differentiate when you suffer from OCD, but someone who doesn't will have a really hard time discerning when you have actually done something or when it's just an obsessive, misperceived thought.

Please get help with this. Don't spend your life being miserable when a good therapist, some coping skills, and maybe medication could help you let go of things like this.

I don't think you did anything wrong, so please don't let that ruin your relationship. What would you really say to your best friend, or to your daughter, if they came to you with this? Be kind to yourself, the way you would be to someone you love. Help yourself see that thoughts aren't overt. If you become aware of them, as you did this time, know it's okay to acknowledge the feelings without acting on them. Unwanted thoughts happen to everyone. You have control over what you do or don't do, and that's what is important.

That's not cheating OP, there is nothing to confess. Do you know how many men I've heard say that they get a bit turned on when a woman cuts their hair and he feels her boobs against the back of his head/back? It's called being human.
