Dating - how much contact?

Ive been split from ex for 5 years. Had a few bad experiences on dating apps .
I have recently become closer than friends with someone I met through one of my hobbies . It has been a slow burner in one way (texting regularly for over a year) then a couple of meet ups and then a kiss. Progressed from then onwards.

Here is where I begin to panic - I am paranoid about it being too intense too soon. We live in the same town, message throughout the day and meet up/stay overnight probably once a week.

We are both very at ease with each other / discuss our feelings (wisdom of age I guess) I am mid 40s, he is late 40s .

Is this a kind of love bombing (given we have known each other so long, but only recently got together) ?
Just to add, we are both confident to express our own preferences / wishes e.g. if made alternate plans, so in that respect quite chilled. Communication is therefore good! He too has been married. We both have kids (teens)

Am I worrying unnecessarily / over thinking. ?
I guess I reflect on previous car crash relationships and worry it could go the same way!

TIA

No it doesn’t sound like love bombing.
Yes you’re overthinking. Which is completely natural.
Relax and enjoy it. Sounds good for you.

As per the previous poster all sounds very relaxed and comfortable. Enjoy the relationship and don't overthink!

It’s nothing like love bombing. It sounds pretty laid back tbh so just stop stressing and inventing problems that aren’t there
