Do people change?

Hi there, I just wanted to post on here as I’m too embarrassed to speak to my friends and have been struggling with trust and it’s making me question my relationship with my boyfriend (we’ve been together 3 years and are 27 and 28).

Just wondering whether people change if they messed up in the past (not full blown cheating, flirty messaging over a couple of days).

Yes people can change. Some people experience trauma, PTSD and get stuck in a self sabotage cycle. This happened to me. It was horrendous.

I have sought therapy & meds and have turned my entire life around. I barely recognise my former self.

People can grow and change. But they need to want to and put in the hard work to make it happen. 💐

Thank you so much! I’ve just edited my post to remove the full details as this was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for your kindness to a total stranger ❤️
