Blocked but still able to message???

Blocked my ex who I ended it with last week. Today he had “iMessage” me, starting with “I know you’ve blocked me but….”
how the hell has this happened??? It’s the same number as he always uses as I know the last 3 digits. What’s gone wrong?

Could be via an email?

So he also emailed me and said I’ve sent you a “text” can I please check and reply,

Never understand blocking, don't see the point and it just comes across as childish.

I didn’t realise I’d have to go into every area. All I did was go into my contact, edit, then block and his contact disappeared from my phone.

the message I had was from an unsaved number but still his number. I feel really stressed. He’s been vile to me with messages hence the block.

Yes you have to block on WhatsApp and iPhone separately for it to work.
