Reporting historical abuse

wasnt sure if this was the right topic to put this under.
regular user, name changed for this.

Has anyone reported historical sexual abuse and can advise on the process.
My abuser is a family member that I have no contact with anymore.
I don’t really want it to go to court, I feel like the conviction rates are low and it’s likely he won’t receive one, but I want something on file at least incase there have been others or will be others, is that a possibility?

Contact rate crisis. They have advocates who can inform you about the process - there's no pressure to report. Also police Web pages have full info. It's never too late to report.
