Wondered if anyone had appeared on it and what their experience was like?

I haven’t personally but I have two friends who were both on there

Both really enjoyed the experience but didn’t find love with their date sadly. No regrets from either

You can apply to be on a date in the background if you don't want to be on the main show. They set you up with someone suitable.

I have two friends who went on it around a decade ago, one of their dates wasn't aired (he said it was probably because it turned out to be too boring/uneventful) and the others date still gets fairly regular comments on youtube. Thankfully they're mostly positive comments as she came across really well!

Both said that they were somewhat "plied" with alcohol in the green room beforehand, obviously it's totally optional whether you drink but they were both pretty young (they guy I knew who went on it was around 22 and the girl who went on was 18/19) and understandably they were both quite nervous!

They also both said they felt pressured to say they'd love to see their dates again, but neither of them ever did!

Some feedback should any of you consider doing it.

The editing has made me look completely different to the person I thought I was.
I suffered a TIA ( mini stroke ) a month ago and I ve had old friends phone me to ask if it was filmed after the stroke concerned as to my mental health as they did not recognise me form the way I was portrayed.

One thing which has concerned me was.

I ordered an Apeol Spritz, ( Prosecco, Aperol and soda water)
I saw Merlin pour Gin into the glass, sort of under the counter so that I couldn't really see him do it.
Thinking he was a "famous' cocktail bar man , and not wanting emo]barass myself by asking what he was doing , thinking may be there might be a "Sicilian ' version with Gin and not wishing to look ignorant I said nothing.

during the meal I had another glass of wine, at the dnd of the meal I never felt drunk, but felt id had more to drink than I thought I had
Cut a long story short , I had enough complained about the Gin being added,
I ve had an email response telling that as I watched him do it they can see no reason to complain, I asked what if I have an allergy to gin, ( which I haven't drunk for 42 years) well we asked if you has an allergies
What about spoiling drinks/ well you saw it.

You pay for the drinks
be warned
