Nose blowing

So recently my daughter had a cold and my partner banged on to her about how to efficiently blow your nose...she was trying her best but anyway I asked him to leave it several times and id chat to her about it as she was getting a bit self conscious about it....anyway he then came down with the cold and during the night last night after about half an hour of him constantly sniffing in bed and having to listen to phlegm hitting the back of his throat I said 'why are you not blowing your nose?!' to which he said 'excuse me! Who do you think you are?!'
I then said well 'Why are you constantly doing that instead of blowing your nose'
He then tried to compare it to our 7 year old and how I don't have a problem with her poor nose blowing....I left it then said I'll get up and get you some tissue....he then said that's a much nicer thing to say...I decided to leave it but omg im fuming...when I got up this morning he said I was rude to him last night.....never mind him keeping me awake, being disgusting, snapping at me....he has asked for an apology as he has a cold but I don't feel like it warrants one? Thoughts please

Until you mentioned 'our 7 year old' I was wondering why do you live with this annoying person, you can have a relationship without living together but if he is the father of your DC I don't know what to suggest apart from sleep in another room.

'Thats a nicer thing to say'. Ick. OK dad.

I wouldn't have asked him as nicely as you op, if have told him to blow his damn nose or go sleep on the sofa.

Asking for an appology! Ha! And they say we're the drama lamas.
