Can I ask opinions please? I have 2 children, mid - late teens with my soon to be ex husband. He had usual affair and left for other woman. They have been in a relationship for nearly 2 years now and I think our children are the only ones that don't know. She has a child and has holidayed etc with him but the teens don't know about her.
Am I being unreasonable or is it none of my business to ask him to tell them about her? I am very worried my youngest child especially, thinks their dad is sitting in a rented house all by himself, doing nothing all the time when clearly that's not the case. My ex just doesn't talk about any part of his life to the kids and I just find it very strange or do I just carry on pretending to them and hope they aren't feeling to sorry for him? After being with someone for so long, I'm finding it all very difficult to navigate what is my business and what isn't!

At mid to late teens, it is more for him and them to figure it out, in my opinion.

Relate do a good book on divorce and children, with different advice for different aged children.

I would tell them. I am not a fan of secrets. And your children are at an age to be terribly hurt by their father.

Tell them kindly but tell them. It’s not their fault that their father is a showing such meanness.
