43 year old male. Known him years. Figured he just had taken a really pig headed attitude recently. Stopped bothering with any of us. Virtually impossible to get hold of. Won't answer his phone.

He rang me this morning in tears. Told me he was frightened. He explained an undesirable individual had ruined his life. Stolen his money. Was forcing him into various crimes and feared for his life. He packed a bag and came up to my house as they don't know me or where I live. On arrival we spoke and he accepted the police was the only route.

They have made him go in to do statements. But they have also told him they will go out and arrest him tonight. He's told me that now the people around this man will be looking for him and he is terrified.

What will the police do to protect him? Because he is going to have to leave town and that's really distressing for everyone.

Does anyone have any clue how they'll stop others potentially hurting him?

So sorry this is heavy. Perhaps it's wrong of me to post.

I would start by asking The Police.

Does he own his house or is he a tenant?

If he is a Council/Housing Assn tenant they should help
