My son has SEN possible ASD and my mum doesn't manage well.. she often belittles or picks up all the negatives.. often highlighting to me how rude or he's done this or said that every time.. no warmth, plays with him occasionally but looks like she doesn't want to be there with him, isn't present just doing it out of duty.. it's so upsetting and difficult to accept..
My family are really shit, my own mother in particular is useless..
My son needs love, nurturing and warmth.. my own family do not give this..
