I have been married for 17 years. We have 4 children together. It was a distance relationship because of my husband military job. He used to come home like after every 6-8 months. I raised kids alone.
He got retired few months ago and started living with us. His language is inappropriate and abusive towards me and children.
To me respect comes first in any relationship.Since I heard real him,or his real face. I do not talk to him and feel no connection.
I am 40, mental health is already fragile at this stage of life.I do not know how to cope with this situation.
I tried to talk but he started shouting and become more aggressive.
Such a waste of life!

Leave. I don’t know where you are but please get in touch with a domestic abuse charity and get support to make an exit plan. You don’t have to live like this and you’re children shouldn’t be living in this environment either. You don’t deserve this. Abuse is never acceptable.
