Meeting partners family - Advice needed

Posting for a friend..
Bit random but I'm meeting my boyfriends niece and nephew (4&5) this weekend at his sisters house. He's very close to his family so I was going to bring flowers for his sister but is it over kill if I bring something for the kids too? And if so, apart from sweets is there any other ideas 🤔🤷‍♀️

I'd avoid sweets as some parents wont like that. If it was me, i'd go for a very small toy or book. Nothing over-kill but nice to take something
