Hi Ladies,

If you believe that someone dangerous is doing the same thing to other women can you use this platform to try to reach out to other women without giving any names? I met this man online and I now think that I might not be the only one. I've had a lightbulb moment where he's mentioned stuff which I now believe could be true. There is a lot more to the above that I can't mention on here.

I know it seems a bizarre request but I have to try. It's not a situation where I can contact the Police (yet) because of the nature of abuse.

Admin- Your advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

It's highly unlikely you'll be able to do that and you should email MN directly.

If this man is using dating sites you can contact them and let them know. If he's abusive of course you can let the police know.

@username299 - Thank you for your advice/suggestion. I will email MN directly. He is so good at his manipulation. It's really scary when children are involved.

Is he targeting women on here? If not, I’m not sure what Mumsnet can do. If you have reason to believe he is a danger to women than you should phone 111 and ask for their advice on what you should do.

@MayaPinion - Not on MN that I am aware of. I'm going through the legal route at the moment so I can't say much. I have no concrete evidence that he is doing the same to other women. It's a difficult situation and I can't go into any details. I do need to focus on my healing and next steps. If I had any evidence I would definitely let the police know. Thank you for the post 🙂.

It's unlikely you'd reach specific women on here; even if you gave quite specific details it would still be a very slim chance, as it would take those women not only seeing your post, but also recognising who/what it was about.

If you want to talk about what's been happening with you though, lots of people on here change details to avoid being identifiable - location, age/sex/number of children involved, dates and how long something has been happening for, etc - you could try this if you need to talk but are afraid of giving too much information.

If you think he might be dangerous it might be worth talking to the police - you don't have to report anything, but you can ask for advice about what you should do. (I've had to do this in the past - they told me exactly how to handle him so that, if he escalated, I'd have done everything 'right').
