Want to be honest about innocent messages

I want to be honest with dh about innocent messages with ex (more sibling vibe with this ex relationship was 20 yrs so and he lives abroad with his family, nothing flirty ever, just sent a good few old travelling photos and asked how family was) but messages aren't there any longer to show ex as I panic deleted and cant get back (insta) Do I bother? With nothing to show. Guilt getting to me as would like to be honest with him. Yes I should not have panic deleted. Big mistake and wish I could retrieve but can't seem to do it. Wwyd?

I don't really see the point in bringing it up. I mean you could casually mention that you spoke to your ex if it will make you feel better.. how likely is it that your dh will want to see the messages?

Why would you bother? You know they were innocent so if he hasn't noticed then no need to bring it up. I'm not sure why you feel so guilty unless there's more to it.

But you only shared innocent messages with someone who was part of your life years ago. Unless there was anything flirtatious then would you tell him about every text you ever send to someone from your past?

Don't bother now but if you message again you could mention 'xxxxx contacted me to say hi' and show him then
