Would you send your DC to a school if you were bullied there yourself at work and had to leave?

I worked in a school part time for 2 years and had to leave due to the way I was treated by the deputy head and a few other staff..

I dressed well, worked hard and kept myself to myself as I'm shy and possibly ND.. I used to model years ago as one of them asked me if I did I kept it light and said a bit here and there.. a few said "I don't know who she thinks she is?"

I ended up quite poorly and left not on good terms.. it's the only school in our area :/ and we have no other options other than private (which we might consider but it's extortionate!)

Would you send your child???

No, I have to say I wouldn't. Not because I think the staff would be unkind to your child (I'm sure they wouldn't) but because your child might pick up on your feelings for the school and that might cause them to not enjoy it. You also might find that you are hesitant about volunteering at summer fairs etc, or that you feel awkward at parents' evenings, and because of those things, you might not make other mum friends so easily.

Can you not find another state school in your area, even if a bit further away?

There don't seem to be any within the local catchment area.. that's part of the struggle.. I fully agree.. it wasn't a good environment for me and I can't imagine going back there and being face to face with them for parent evenings etc., I'm also wondering if my DC would have a different experience to me.. or if some of the awful TA's would be cross with her as they know who she is.. I'm trying not to let my mind overthink but I also know what human beings can be like.. :/
