Dating while awaiting cancer diagnosis?

Hi all. Been single since losing my partner in March 2023 and miss having someone. Joined a dating app a few months ago. Haven't met anyone yet but there's one or two guys I like the look of (haven't messaged them yet though!). Thing is, I had a scan recently which showed signs of womb cancer. I'm 3 weeks away from another scan which I'm pretty sure will confirm it (I have other symptoms too). Should I delete my profile from the dating app? Just curious to know what others would do. Thanks :)

I probably would. I wouldn't have the headspace to be getting to know someone new. Best of luck for whatever the future holds x

I think if chatting to some men on a dating site it is a positive distraction for you then keep going!

I was having an awful time and I met my husband. I lost my job and realised that if I didn't get another I'd probably cool it but I did and 10 years on here we are! I got a new job, had three months paid off work on garden leave and went on amazing holiday within 6 weeks of meeting.

I'd be upfront though on date. Say I not very well and going thought tests.

My friend colleague had breast cancer and she was an absolute queen. What a woman.

Fuck it. One life you deserve to live it.
