Hello
Help required, gorgeous wife permanently too exhausted after doing battle with 3 kids (1, 4 & 6) to take part in matters of a marital & physical kind. Says that all she craves once the little ones are down is some down time, either a long bath or some trash tv. Are there any erotic books that you can recommend that i could leave out for her along with her glass of wine once the bath is run? She says her libido is floored and that she no longer even self services these days so she needs a kick start.
As far as i know she hasn't read anything before but when she is in the mood she does like me to tell he erotic stories which is why i have thought of this.
Any guidance much appreciated.

and I am normally the last person to state my suspicion around here, esp with a man as I think sometimes men get treated with a little more cynicism than they deserve (speaking from experience in the early days!).

and anyway, if my DW was too tired and worn down to have sex (as happens of course), the last thing which would ever cross my mind would be to plonk a book in front of her.

[finger hovers nervously over the exclamation mark... could this be my first ever flagged thread??!]

jackrabbit · 06/05/2008 10:47

posting, i wasn't actually going to give her a book on a night that she was too tired but when she was feeling good.

Have to say that the criticism/advice offered is very salient. I am obviously (and have been for some time by the sounds of it) focusing far too much on myself and my wants/needs rather on her.

JR sinks to knees, cast eyes skywards and vows to change.

Well, I don't care if this thread is or not. Any thread where a man says he is going to be more attentive to his wife is a good one by me.

Good on you JR. Respect, mate, innit!

I agree Littlewoman... as long as she exists...

Hypothetically will do for me, posting . It doesn't matter if it's real or not, I just like to hear a man say that lol.

postingforawhilenow · 06/05/2008 11:14

as long as he's a man!!

(ok, now I am being cantankerous!)

jackrabbit · 06/05/2008 11:31

Posting, are you taking the p*?

Man wants to have more action with his wife, seeks views of women in same position as his wife (kids, tired etc) and makes mistake of not doing (consistently enough) what he has already been told.

What's hypothetical/suspicious about that?

i felt that last year's post was a bit more suss, the one where your wife had no sex drive and then you asked how to give the best cunnilingus! And then you come on here, saying your wife is too exhausted for sex but post on another thread last week about how she loves it a bit rough sometimes!

So that's three threads, all with conflicting stories and all about sex...

If you are for real, I would strongly recommend contributing to other threads than just sex threads. It'll help your credibility and not leave you open to the not unreasonable suspicion that you may be getting a kick out of coming on to a female dominated forum, talking about sex.

jackrabbit · 06/05/2008 11:50

my comments on other threads are valid, our sex like is good in that the quality is excellent but the frequency isnt.

As for the threads all being about sex, well i admit that is why i have come on here, not to get cheap thrills but for help with the physical side of my relationship with my wife and wanting a female perspective.

i do not have any views ref breastfeeding, weaning, period pain or whatever as i am after all a man!

anyway, thanks for your help all those who have taken the time to reply including yourself posting, i have taken on board your earlier comments at least.

Cheers
