Help need date ideas for Valentines but can’t get a babysitter

Hi,

we REALLY need a good date night, but we can’t get a babysitter for Valentine’s Day night. What fun stuff could we do?

I’m really struggling to remember how to be romantic! We usually get a take away and watch tv for us time so I’d like to do something different.

On a good run we can get both kids asleep for 8pm so have about 2 hours before our bedtime.

I’m also open to date ideas for the weekend daytime and we take the kids (4 and 1) along too.

Why Valentine's specifically?

If you're keen to go out, can you find a babysitter for another night and go out then?

Just find a sitter for a couple of days before or after valentines and go out then shrugs

Go on another day, you'll get reservations easier!

Cook something different and a bit fancy, eat it at the table and set the table nicely, wear something nice as if you were going out.

Do 3 courses. M&S have great deals for valentines and super easy to cook and serve

You could get one of those Relationship Card question decks?? If you want to spice it up you can get suggestive/sexual ones from places like love honey??
Pair with a "meal deal for two" from somewhere like M& S or Waitrose to make it seem a bit more effort than a takeaway?

Agree with others. I’m not a fan of Valentine’s Day…, you can go in a date any night and treat your partner any day of the year. Just go another day
