Nervous about hen party

First time poster so please be kind…

ok so here goes, my fiancé and I are getting married later this year and my bridal party have booked us a night away which I’m really looking forward to. I think I’m a fun(ish) person but have to admit, I’m slightly shy around new people. I’m not a prude but I’m also quite reserved. My cousins have booked a stripper which I found out through my friend. I’ve never seen a stripper before and am very nervous about what the expectations are for me! I didn’t particularly want a stripper but at the same time, think it could be fun.

I’m not typically a girl who likes to conform to traditions but think this should be ok as long as, pardon the pun, it’s not too in my face 😂

my question is…will I be expected to get raunchy with the stripper/will he be with me/I really don’t want his bits near me. Any advice or experiences you can share to either put my mind at rest or panic the cr@p out of me.

Grief. The only reason that's been booked is because it's a hen party cliche.

In reality that evening should be a joyous reflection of what makes a lovely evening for you.

A stripper might be some fun, even if it's not really your thing, up on a stage while you have fun with friends. But in the situation of a personal strip for the bride, it's entirely possible it will be squirty cream on nipples with you expected to lick it off, type crap.

Think your cousins need a clear brief so they can do their role without regrets for anyone.

This is a rare night with your favourite people!

What is your idea of fun that everyone attending can also enjoy and afford.

Do that.

My hen do was wind surfing on Saturday with a BBQ that evening and kayaking down river on Sunday. Was brilliant.

Even I wouldn't like this now and I'm an extrovert. Was all well and good eons ago. Or not for some. I remember one bride being horrified as his dick was flapping in her face. I took over for her. She was laid on a dirty pub floor. I plonked him on a chair and gave him a lap dance 🤣

Eee the memories 🙈

well, the flapping comment confirms it…I’m definitely asking him to be cancelled 😂

@NervousBrideToBe I doubt that would be allowed nowadays. Probably wasn't then tbh but hey ho.

My friends and I have all had strippers at our recent hen dos, it's been silly and funny and camp in the best way every time, not seedy or gross. The male strippers have hammed it up and been super respectful every time and they're hilarious experiences. Having said that, we have an unspoken agreement that any photos or vids don't leave our group chat!

Oh god no. Ask them to cancel OP.

I've got DDs in their early/mid 20s and they were amazed when I told them this used to be a thing years ago. I didn't know it was still going on!

I have been to a 'butlers in the buff' hen in recent years and that was bad enough 🙄, the poor bride to be was horrified, turns out it was her mum's idea .... she certainly threw herself into it!

We once went to see the dreamboys. My mam was smacking their arses. She'd have been in her 60s at the time. They didn't care. Be done for assault nowadays.
