Having been recently reminded of an ex, I'm thinking about some of the ickiest, cringe inducing experiences in that relationship.
The main one was that he offered to do me a relaxing, 'treat" bath experience in his roll top bath, with wine etc.
Sounded nice.
Except his heating didn't heat enough water to fill the bath with warm water (and I don't even require hot water, just warm) so I ended up lying (and increasingly shivering) in a barely covering me bath of tepid water.
(Or maybe it did heat enough but he was too stingy to leave it on for long enough, who knows).
Next he gave me wine in a flute glass with a very long, pointy base (they were glasses intended to sit in a stand) which was awkward as fuck to hold or drink out of - at all, let alone while lying in a bath.
But the piece de resistance was giving me some strawberries. The reason being that not long after I noticed a tiny, dried up strawberry lying in the bin in his bathroom (way too dried up and old to be from my bath) and I realised he'd done exactly the same "treat" for one or more of his exes (I knew of four before me).
This is probably worse, but reminds me a bit of a work colleague saying that she dated a guy who gave her bad poetry - apparently written for her - but when she compared notes with another girl who'd dated him, he'd given her the same bad poem.
Or another work colleague telling me that after ending the relationship with her friend, for a new woman - her friend saw on SM that he was taking the new woman to every single place the same as he had taken her.
The world seems to be full of these guys.
