Men who have been sexually abused as children

Namechanged for this - has anyone else got a partner who was sexually abused as a child by priests or someone else in authority?

I've had two partners this has happened to and both, whilst gentle and sweet men, have had a lot of "fallout" that have ended up being painful for me to deal with including their PTSD. I'm also a survivor of childhood SA, but men can react and act out in ways that are different to women.

I'm interested to hear of other women's experiences or to find a support group for myself. Any suggestions would be good as there's so little out there and yet there's so many women who must be living with male partners this has happened to. And maybe some who don't realise as men often don't disclose this information until something breaks down in them.

Should clarify, by saying "painful for me to deal with", I mean watching your loved one having flashbacks, watching him weeping when triggering news comes on about child SA, etc.

Not directly being abusive to me.

My DH was SA by his female teacher in the swimming bath changing room.

He says it hasn't affected him but then also wondered if it was the reason he was highly sexual as a child/teen and engaged in swxual behaviour with his peers when young.

I think it affected him more than he thinks.
