Porn on Instagram

DH asked me how to do something on Instagram. I clicked up his search icon and it brought up porn images.

We're with others atm so I cant ask him. He did say to me 'how'd that get there.' I'm assuming because he's been looking. I know many men do but it's made me feel grim.

If there were a lot of images then it's probably the algorithm, he will have been looking.
Just one or two then it's probably just popped up.

He's been looking. Used to find it on my fellas insta page. Doesn't happen anymore since I had him about it. He looks on tic tok now instead 🙄

Never thought it would make me feel so grim, being confronted with it on his phone.

Sorry to hear that this happened. Do you think he knows that you dislike porn? If you've talked about it before then that's really inconsiderate of him. If you haven't talked about it then some guys don't realise how much some women hate porn, even though it's very obvious to anyone who reads Mumsnet.

What do you mean by porn? Was it really explicit stuff? My husbands search bit had quite a lot of women with their breasts pretty much out kind of thing and I just told him it makes me uncomfortable and he was very understanding and actually agreed that it was shady and clicked the not interested icon to get it out of his algorithm. He said he doesn't search things like that but admitted when it pops up has lingered on in for a few seconds on occasion and obviously the algorithm on Instagram picks up on that and floods your feed with it. I said I understand seeing an attractive person and looking that's obviously not an issue it's more just Instagram then feeds you it all the time and it gradually gets more explicit if you're not careful. I'd definitely let him know how you feel when you get a chance.

My search page on Instagram, which I barely use, where I only follow hobby pages and people who do the same hobby as me, would suggest I'm into well-endowed women in tiny bikinis. I'm a heterosexual woman who has never once searched for, or shown any interest in, an account like this.

Not a single suggestion relating to my hobby, maybe two or three suggestions that relate to something I searched once a few weeks ago, a few utterly bewildering ones that seem to be totally out of left field...and a whole lot of jiggling.

I've commented more than once that the algorithm is mad, horny, and trying to get people into trouble.
