How do you know if it’s time to leave or give it a chance

looking for people’s experiences. Lots of emotions running high here and going round in circles

I just knew.
My nan once said to me I knew I had to leave your mother's father, as I realised if he got hit by a bus and died I would feel sorry for the bus driver and witnesses.
I looked at my ex and felt relief when I thought of the above scenario.

I guess it’s different for everyone.

You just have to decide if you have given it all you can and you have given it enough chances.
Is the relationship actually what you are looking for or are you hoping it could be better when the reality is it won’t.
It’s super difficult … I just try and weigh up whether I’m satisfied that I tried hard enough and whether the other person did or not.
