have you ever been really into someine then just lost attractraction suddenly?

i'm so confused. I've been dating someine for 3 months, a few dates and week and staying at eachother's houses regularly, he invited me to meet his friends then BAM, suddenly he goes distant says his Stepdad is ill and he is grieving then ends things. I obviously sympathise with the stress if his steodad being ill (my Dad died last week too) and my Mum passed away a few years ago but it seems very out of the blue. Have you ever done this?

Yes I think people can lose attraction quickly, for me if I've gone off some part of their personality, it doesn't matter how much physically I still like them, it's done.
Perhaps he just doesn't want to tell the truth and not feeling it the same still and the stepdad illness is a convenient excuse, sometimes it best not knowing, a strong relationship, you get through with supporting each other, but it's not enough for him and I would look to move on rather than waiting.

Your dad has just died and gone distant shows he feel uncomfortable with grief, your going to be needing support and understanding and I think that guy doesn’t want to deal with it
