If someone you have matched with asks you if you're looking for love / long term etc, does it usually mean they are not?

I never know what to say really on the initial Tinder app chats. I find it embarrassing 😳

It's fine to say you dont know yet what you're looking for,

Dont put to much importance on this question - or whatever answer our match gives. Most people (women included) just say what they think the other person wants to hear - so in my experience its a useless question.

Just chat with this person just try to get to know them a bit. If you like what you hear try to arrange a meet up as soon as is reasonable and have fun.

I would assume they are, I would respond back with what I'm looking for, best to know straight away whether they are a good match or not

I agree with the above PP. If you’re not sure then tell them that but make sure you let them know you’re not looking for hook ups/NSA if you’re not as otherwise they might try with that line.

I put it on my profile that I was looking for a long term relationship- I wanted to sieve out the time wasters and fuck boys. 2 weeks later I met my now DH of 6 years! Several of my friends had similar experiences. I always think it is worth being upfront with what you want, if you know (whether that’s something casual, or long term). Good luck!
