NC MIL trying to reconcile

DH went NC with his mum last year due to a lot of things, mainly her alcoholism. this will be the first Christmas without contact. Alas, DH is adamant he does not want a relationship and she remains blocked on his phone but still is trying to talk with us now despite having 0 contact with us or kids for the rest of the year. DH’s brother also doesn’t talk to her and I know she is still drinking. How do we navigate this? I am fearful she may turn up to the house.

You maintain radio silence re his mother. If she is using people as a way in of contacting you ignore such approaches from these ‘flying monkeys’.

If she turns up do not let her in. Involve the police if necessary too.

Continue to support your DH and follow his lead.
