Soft play dating

Maybe I'm Just negative but I read this somewhere else and thought it sounded really odd but everyone else seemed to think it was a good idea but soft play dating? So someone suggested soft plays should set up dating events for single parents 😂 what's your thoughts on this? Good idea or not?

Well my local soft play has adults only evenings and hosts team building events for offices so I'm sure plenty of people go and hook up afterwards lol.

Why do you think it sounds odd? It sounds a nice idea to me. Single parents often don't get time to date, so this sounds like a way for them and their kids to have a nice wholesome day out and meet like minded families.

I can imagine single mums would vastly outnumber single dads at such an event.

Because its usually frowned upon to introduce partners to your children straight away? Just can't imagine sitting there trying to meet men whilst my kids kept running over asking questions!

Yikes, no - why would you involve your DC in your dating life? That's beyond inappropriate.

Comedycook · 09/12/2024 21:13

Vast majority of single dads don't have full custody so they'd have no need for such an event...they will usually have free time in which to date

This.

It’s a bloody awful idea dating with kids in tow - grim

KitsyWitsy · 09/12/2024 21:17

Terrible idea.

CandyCaneSpoon · 09/12/2024 21:19

well glad it's not just me then, these comments had me thinking i was going to have loads of people saying it's perfectly fine. i just think it's a bit gross using your kids to get dates, why can't they be kept separate? can't imagine trying to meet men whilst my children were playing in the ball pit opposite

OP posts:
Babbahabba · 09/12/2024 21:20

It's grim and an invitation to child abuse. Just no.

CandyCaneSpoon · 09/12/2024 21:24

i can see it leading to men being brought around kids more quickly "well i've already met them at soft play" each to their own though
