In a new relationship but I may be more serious than him. Been together three months. So I want to cool it a bit but still interested in seeing him. He has been very badly hurt in the past. He seems crazy about me and I really like him. I am recently out of a long term marriage. I need to get my feelings in check and not be disappointed when he doesn't message me. Any advice, I'm just not used to this dating game.

The one piece of advice that I am trying to use is that you don't need to overly worry about what you say if they are the right person.
You should be able to be honest that you want to make sure you take your time together and feel like you are getting ahead of yourself and it's important that you both have a solid foundation.
Honesty is the backbone of any good relationship so just talk about it. No need to play games or panic.

**Note, I'm also kind of jealous that you are recently out of a long term marriage and already seeing someone for 3 months. I can't even get 3 dates! Just enjoy it at this point, it's too early not to be.

Haven't most of us been really badly hurt in the past? You probably have been too. Don't let that be an excuse for any silly bollocks. I feel like if you're mentioning it, there's been some silly bollocks already?

If he's bringing a shit ton of baggage from previous relationships into yours together then he's not ready to be dating. You could probably do without being a rebound.

From experience I would ask if you’re really ready for another relationship after a long term marriage break up. I think many of us have felt ready but after a few months we’ve realised we haven’t dine the work on ourselves first.

A relationship shouldn’t have you feeling insecure and asking questions.

You don't know how much this has helped. You are so wise. I'm actually jealous of you! Thank you!
