Control freak yes or no

Hi we both invested in a very expensive car and he gave slightly more than I. He took it out without letting me know. We’ve had it 2 days. When he arrived home I said why didn’t he text me to let me know he’d taken it out. I haven’t driven it yet in case I damage it. In the 2 days he drove it, he hit a small wall and on a second drive he bumped the mirror. Am I right to want a say in its whereabouts or is he right in accusing me of being a control freak.

Control freak
What's the point I having a car if you don't drive it?

He's unreasonable fo bumping it

Oh no! I'd be pretty pissed off that he bumped a small wall, and pranged the mirror.

In a new car it is understandably difficult to get to grips with the shape and overall handling of the vehicle.
Actually, minor bumps and scrapes are more likely to occur in the first few months of owning a new vehicle.

I really don't think him telling you he's about to go out in his own car would prevent these minor problems.

YABU and controlling.

Has he apologised???

He needs more driving lessons and to pay to fix it. You need to stop being a control freak. Simple.
