Would you notice if someone unfollowed you? on social media, facebook, instagram for example

I recently unfollowed an ex from a few months ago,just as I was doing a social media clear out.

i was just wondering if this was something he would notice, as because i don't really use instagram, I dont think I would notice that much.

Just wondered what other peoples thoughts were on this

I wouldn't, but some people seem to keep track, I used to have an acquaintance who would gleefully post "ooh I've upset some people with my last post, 3 have unfriended me!"

How you can have space in your brain to notice how many followers you have, I have no idea 😁

Probably depends how many followers he has. If he has six and you unfollowed, he would probably notice. If he has 600 he probably won't have.

I don't. Every now and then I think 'oh, haven't seen anything from X for a while' and then realise they have unfriended me. But, I am only an infrequent SM user so it doesn't bother me in the least bit.

I personally wouldn’t. But I’m zero bothered about things like that/ don’t keep track.

However there are maybe 10 people I interact with closely, if one of them would, I’d probably notice! I swap memes with my ex lots so I’d notice if that stopped!! I presume you guys don’t keep tabs on each other though

I would only notice if I went to message that person and saw we were no longer friends

Yeah I don't have a huge number as I only add people I know, so I do notice. I like to figure out who it is so I can just be aware of them stepping away
