What’s it like? Feel awful admitting it but really looking forward to my two starting school so I can claw back a couple of days a week for me …

Don't feel bad, running a house and looking after children even if they're at school is a huge amount of work. Even on these days you claw back I assume you'll be doing things like catching up with washing and chores etc. Even if you use that time to rest/exercise/read/watch TV....so what?!

I don’t feel bad, I can’t wait 😂 in all seriousness they are lovely but I get barely any me time and being honest I do miss it.

Yes I was the same! I used to see the dramatic posts on social media about mum's who were devastated their children had started school...and mums crying the first day. I skipped off from the school gates utterly thrilled at the thought of my first childfree day in years 😂

It's alright but it's only 6 hours a day, much preferred the nursery full days when I could do some work/breathe / housework. Also summer holidays weren't much fun.

The day goes extremely quickly I agree.

I feel like I’ve got a pretty decent balance in life now. I work from home 24 hours a week while DD is in school and I don’t have to use any wraparound care, but I do occasionally if I do any overtime. I go to the gym twice a week after school drop off. I have a cleaner come once a fortnight and I just try and minimally keep on top of it in between. I enjoy my life a lot more than in the baby toddler stage! I sleep pretty well. I feel like my time is full and I’m never bored, but I’m not overwhelmed
