DD is young, primary school age.
She has made disclosures of abuse to me and school, abuse by her father both physically and emotional.
I reported him to the police and now social care are engaged.
DD now has to attend a formal interview where it will be recorded. She actually has no issues in doing this and spoke very articulately to the police but I suppose it's that moral bit of her giving evidence against her father that is the struggle. I want to support her and validate her feelings and just wanted to hear from others who had children give evidence against their parent. The father is currently on bail conditions at present and can't see her which she's relieved about but it could all end up being nothing if sufficient evidence isn't gathered as it'll be literally her word against his.
