I think this is a reoccurring question Its so confusing..This is what I have learnt so far in my only three months in..
What other tips have you wise lot got?

  1. Believe nothing they say.
  2. See them as quickly as possible.
  3. Do not be their therapist. They won't thank you for it and it could be a really immature unconscious firm of manipulation.
  4. Do not do sexy talk until you have met.
  5. Do not sleep with them too early... you are grown adults but be careful.
  6. Further than 40 miles is too far.
  7. Do not love bomb or send needy texts. Let them chase you.
  8. If he/she mentions a crazy ex its them.
  9. Be careful of love bombing.
  1. Try not to be too cynical it's both and women who play similar games

Any more 😁😃

Yeah. Recognise that OLD is just a money making scheme which exploits the lonely and vulnerable. And if you're not lonely and vulnerable, you'll become bitter and twisted and start thinking that the way people behave on OLD is normal.

My tip for survival is don't bother with it.

Just see it as a way to meet interesting people for dates. They are, after all dating apps, not relationship apps.

Try to enjoy yourself

The only rules to follow are the safety ones, otherwise just be yourself

Have very low expectations and then you can only be pleasantly surprised.

Oh and have strong boundaries too. If someone is giving you red flags then bin and move on quickly!

Even having low expectations I’m still surprised how low the standards can get
