What would you do ?
I have found out that my brother in law wife has been trashing me in front of my in laws. She has said some awful words about me which probably I will never forgive.
My hubby and his bro have lots of mutual best friends so, there were several times when we all used to hangout together including their wife’s. She has said that I do not belong in the circle when the group is hanging out who are in the medical field because I cannot add anything to the conversation.
Apparently, whenever I would have taken a cake to their house, she would always toss it in the bin because my cakes taste terrible. Other things like nobody likes me, my sister is better looking than me, and trying to turn others against me. These are just few things, but there is a lot more what she has said about me.
We have confronted few of the friends who apparently said they do not like and they have said this is utter rubbish.
I have found all these things from my mother in law. It seems that my sister is making things up as myself and my husband both trust his mother and she would not lie.
Me and my brother in law, wife never got on, which is fine, but I have never trashed her in front of others. We have always kept distance between both of us, but i never imagined nor has anyone ever trashed me like this. Also, I have never, ever done anything to her.
My father in law theory of why she has been doing this for year is apparently she wanted to set my husband up with her best friend and i came into the picture and ruined everything.
My parents in law do not want to confront her, which is very annoying nor do they want to make are the older son what his wife is doing. They have said that she never says anything in front of her husband, so it’s always when he is not around.
Both, myself and my husband are furious having to find out this, but also I am so mad at his parents as they kept this as a secret for years.
I do not know how to approach the situation.
