I'd like some advice on what you think about a romantic relationship between a 23-year-old guy and a 38-year-old woman. She is my mother, and they met this summer. They see each other outside the house, but now my mother wants him to start staying over at our place a couple of times a week. He is only 4 years older than me.

Personally I can’t really imagine they will have that much in common but they are adults, you are an adult and unless it is directly affecting you in some way you just have to let her get on with it. Sometimes these things do work out. My widowed grandmother married a younger man with this sort of age gap and it lasted until she died in old age. The family were not that happy at first but grew to accept it.
