I’ve been dating this man for the last 3 months and he makes me so happy. He is so positive and caring with me, and he is consistent with it. I’ve had some shit relationships in the past so I am usually very cautious with how vulnerable I act with someone, but I just feel so comfortable and happy. I’ve met his family and he’s met mine and he said he has very strong feelings for me.

We were walking yesterday and a dog ran up to me and starting jumping up at me. I turned to my boyfriend and said “dogs LOVE me”. He put his arm round me and kissed my head and said “so do I”. I didn’t say anything back because I felt a bit taken aback and honestly didn’t know if he meant it or just was joking back with me?

Am I overthinking this? Am I just hoping he meant it because I have really strong feelings for him???

So was there just an awkward silence afterwards? You didn’t say anything at all? Sounds like he said a nice genuine thing in the moment and you completely ignored it?

im 2 years out of relationships so this feels so lovely. My ex was very physically aggressive towards me so I am very guarded around men but he makes me feel very safe.
