Children's books about parental separation

I split from my partner about 2 months ago, have a 3 and 5 year old. I'm looking for children's books to help talk about it with my kids but can't find any suitable books for their situation.

We split mainly due to his emotional abuse of the children. Therefore I am not keen on stressing that daddy loves you loads etc as his behaviour really hasn't demonstrated this and it feels like gaslighting them.

He has been seeing them but only once or twice a week for a few hours - but no overnights on the cards at the moment. So they don't have 2 homes

Most books I've come across are mainly about the 2 homes thing and focus on how both parents love the children which doesn't seem quite right for their situation.

Can anyone recommend any childrens books that would cover this - I can't believe it's that unusual -there must be loads of dads who are not this loving father figure that just happens to have fallen out with Mum?

Thanks for any suggestions
